Chris Bowen, Labor’s climate and energy spokesman, has turned up on Radio National to explain the ins and outs of his party’s policy and, as he says, combat a “lazy, toxic scare campaign that the Liberals and Nationals have been addicted to for 20 years”.
That includes the assumption of a $24-a-tonne price for offsets and the use of the same list of 215 largest emitters, including 60 coal mines.
