Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese and former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull have both lashed the Coalition’s “bombastic and belligerent” rhetoric on China.
“His rhetoric is becoming more and more bombastic and belligerent. It’s just a pity that he doesn’t match it with actual preparation and work,” the former PM told the ABC’s RN Breakfast program. “I think Malcolm Turnbull put up pretty well this morning when he said that his [Defence Minister Peter Dutton’s] rhetoric is becoming more and more bombastic and belligerent,” the Opposition Leader said.
Albanese also said he felt “quite fortunate” with his COVID-19 experience to date. He was trying to get as much rest as possible.
