A man has been found dead on the New South Wales Central Coast in an apparent beach drowning on Wednesday morning.
A swimmer aged in his 70s has been found dead at a beach on New South Wales' Central Coast in the second beach tragedy for the state within days.
Emergency services were alerted of an unresponsive male in the water at Cabbage Tree Harbour near Norah Head just after 9.45am. NSW Police said in a statement the victim was pending formal identification but was understood to be aged in his 70s. The death marks the second drowning for the state this week. In an incident on Monday morning, a 59-year-old man was pulled unconscious from the water at Main Beach in Byron Bay.
