September 19, 2024, 6:30 pmThe Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has unveiled a mural on the facade of its EDSA building, featuring stars from the Metro Manila Film Festival in celebration of its 50th anniversary.
MMDA Acting Chairman Attorney Don Artes said the murals aim to evoke nostalgia through hand-painted movie posters. Other proposed locations for the murals include a 653-meter stretch of EDSA from Buendia to Ayala. The unveiling event, which took place on Sept. 19 at the MMDA Auditorium, includes key initiatives such as a Classic Posters Exhibition and a mural project led by Phonsie Castaneda and artists AG Sano and Sim Tolentino. The launch featured live mural painting, a display of posters, and speeches from industry figures.
