The higher-than-expected expansion of the domestic economy in the third quarter of 2022, at 7.6 percent year-on-year, provides a boost for a possible breach of the government’s gross domestic product assumption for the year.
He also cited the solid growth materialized amid the elevated inflation and interest rates environment due in part to the impact of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which has affected prices of commodities in the international market. The government’s growth assumption for this year ranges between 6.5 to 7.5 percent while it is between 6.5 to 8 percent for 2023-2028.
