Echuca residents have fought fatigue and tirelessly worked overnight to build a “great wall” to protect their homes from the flooding Murray River in Victoria's north.
The tight-knit community came together on Tuesday to build the mammoth 2.5 kilometre long dirt levee aimed at “keeping the water out”.

Those residents have had to come to terms with the heart-breaking decision to help build the wall and protect the town while sacrificing their homes.
