Electrogenic, a global EV technology leader known for making classic models future-ready, has introduced a 'plug-and-play' conversion kit that transforms the Mazda MX-5 into a clean, electric-powered roadster — without compromising the car's renowned handling and character.The conversion kit is designed to be installed by a trained mechanic in a matter of days, eliminating the need for extensive fabrication or irreversible changes.
The battery packs — 42 kilowatt-hour in total — are strategically placed under the hood and in the space once occupied by the fuel tank, preserving trunk space and keeping the center of gravity low. This careful packaging ensures that the MX-5's nimble, responsive dynamics remain front and center.
