Eastern Health is expanding the hours of operation for its community walk-in clinic.
Earlier this summer, the clinic, which accommodates patients without a family doctor, encountered long lineups with pictures circulating on social media showing patients lined up around the building. Eastern Health acknowledged it was encountering high patient volumes and planned to implement measures to help deal with the delays.
The clinic at 50 Mundy Pond Road is now open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
