It’s a chance for stakeholders of all kinds to discuss their work, what more needs to be done and to ensure mental health care is a reality for people worldwide.While some initiatives were already taking place before the onset of COVID-19 in the construction industry, over the past couple of years more efforts have been made to making mental health a priority for workers in what can be often perceived as an industry that is too proud to seek help.
The Daily Commercial News and Journal of Commerce have been covering the progress and also created an in-depth series called Cracks in the Foundation: Mental Health, Substance Use and Construction, where sources spoke firsthand about their challenges as well as their triumphs.
