The easterlies, or warm air from the Pacific Ocean, will spur rains across a large swath of the country, weather bureau PAGASA reported Wednesday. Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm are forecast in Caraga and Davao Regions while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are forecast in Caraga and Davao Regions while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country. PAGASA warned the public against flash floods and landslides that may possibly occur in the affected areas due to the expected rainfall.
Meanwhile, the weather bureau said the ridge of the high-pressure area is extending over Northern Luzon. Moderate winds and moderate coastal water conditions will prevail in Northern Luzon while the rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters.—Sundy Locus/VAL, GMA Integrated News
