Duterte unfazed by COVID-19, says he’s OK if he catches it
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte talks to the people after holding a meeting with the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Emerging Infectious Diseases core members at the Arcadia Active Lifestyle Center in Davao City on September 21, 2020.
“Kita mo may pari, sabi niya, ‘Ito si Duterte dapat may COVID.’ A day after, siya ang nagkaroon ng COVID ,” Duterte said during a taped public address aired on state television Monday night. The President, however, is opposed to relaxing the country’s health measures needed to fight the spread of the coronavirus disease.
The chief executive wore a face mask during the meeting with his Cabinet members in Davao City Monday night.“You still have to wear the mask pati ‘yung sa ilong pati sa mukha or something enough to cover your face. But iyong plastic na ginagamit ng karamihan ngayon, iyon ang pinakatama na magawa ninyo used by many nowadays, that’s the correct thing to do),” he said.
