Malcañang said President Duterte continues to monitor the global COVID-19 situation, while focusing on the country’s determined efforts to stem the tide of the pandemic but also worldwide updates.

In a virtual press briefing, Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo said that despite the conclusion of his 14-day quarantine, Duterte will stay and work from his official residence to monitor the pandemic and lead the government’s efforts to contain the COVID-19 outbreak.“Si Pangulo ay mananatili sa kaniyang official residence. He will continue to function and perform his duties as President,” he said.

“Dito lang po siya sa Maynila upang madalian na mabigyan ng katugunan ang anumang uri ng suliranin na ipapaaabot sa kaniya ,” he continued.“Siya po ay araw-araw nagmo-monitor ng mga kaganapan natin. Gaya nga ng sinabi niya, nanonood siya ng lahat ng istasyon all over the world, kung ano nangyayari sa ibang bansa ,” he said.
