MANILA—President Rodrigo Duterte met anew with Moro National Liberation Front founding chairman Nur Misuari in Davao City Friday.
Both leaders met following the creation of a peace coordinating body in Nov. to discuss prospects of a lasting peace in Mindanao.
The President wanted to make progress towards peace before his term ends in 2022, Sen. Bong Go said in a statement. Duterte also thanked Misuari for supporting his administration and assured the latter of the government's commitment to achieve peace and development in Mindanao, Go added.
