Duterte announces P200-B aid for poor families affected by LuzonLockdown COVID19
MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday night announced that his administration is allotting P200 billion to help low-income households affected by the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 .
According to Duterte, members of the informal sector will be receiving two month's worth of emergency fund, based on the existing regional minimum wage rates. During his speech, the President also promised to help micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises, as well as farmers and fisherfolk deal with the effects of the lockdown.
