Dunmore Road in Port Hood will be completely reconstructed in the fall. FilePORT HOOD, N.S. — Work will begin in the fall to reconstruct Dunmore Road in Port Hood.
Inverness MLA Allan MacMaster said Zutphen Contractors will completely reconstruct the road. Improvements will begin where the pavement ends for a distance of about six kilometres. "Residents of Dunmore and people who use this road will see changes that make a lasting improvement for their driving experience,” said MacMaster.
The province's spring budget contained $30 million for bridge repair, freeing up more money for road maintenance.“This government cares about local roads and will continue to invest in them so that people can feel the improvements, one road at a time."
