THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on Friday reported prices of bottled water and candles remain steady amid the observance of Undas or All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day on Nov. 1 and 2, respectively.
THE Department of Trade and Industry on Friday reported prices of bottled water and candles remain steady amid the observance of Undas or All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day on Nov. 1 and 2, respectively.'Our monitoring results show a stable trend with no significant changes in the Suggested Retail Price for bottled water and candles since January 2024,' DTI regional director Rachel Nufable said.
The DTI is likewise activated Local Price Coordinating Councils and established Consumer Welfare Desks, along with implementing additional measures to prevent unfair trade practices.As the key implementing agency of the Price Act and chairman of the National Price Coordinating Council, the DTI is mandated to ensure price stability and adequate supply of basic necessities and prime commodities .
