Social Welfare Secretary Rexlon Gatchalian said on Sunday that the Sustainable Livelihood Program has expanded to the island province of Batanes .He said a team from its central office led by Assistant Secretary Florentino Loyola Jr. and Field Office-2 Regional Director Lucia Suyu-Alan delivered various programs and interventions for the Batanes people late last week.Loyola and the DSWD team first went to the municipality of Basco to distribute Seed Capital Fund worth more than P2.
Meanwhile, the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services , under the National Community-Driven Development-Additional Financing modality, turned over 10 sub-projects implemented during the first and second phases of the program in the municipality of Itbayat.Both Gatchalian and Loyola congratulated the Kalahi-CIDSS beneficiaries for being able to finish their community projects.
