Drilon proposes sale of military camps in Metro Manila for COVID19 fund
MANILA - The Philippine government should consider selling military camps on EDSA to raise more funds in the fight against the novel coronavirus, Sen. Franklin Drilon said Tuesday. "Ang laki ng contribution ng BGC sa ating ekonomiya. 'Yan po ang halimbawa kung ano ang pwedeng gawin sa Camp Aguinaldo at Camp Crame," he told radio DZMM.
President Rodrigo Duterte earlier said he was considering selling government assets for additional budget to contain the pandemic. and we are about to sink and really sink, I will sell all the assets of the government and itulong ko lahat sa tao .""Malaki po ang maintenance diyan, the ability to get a good price hindi po madaling gawin," he said, noting that another convention center was located nearby.
