Mark Anthony Santos has demanded an explanation from the Department of Public Works and Highways regarding the transfer of 27 projects for Las Piñas City to another implementing office.“The transfer of these 27 projects to a new implementing office will delay their implementation, or they might not be implemented at all this year because it would require a new round of bidding,” Santos said.The 27 projects, with a total amount of P450.
The projects were originally slated for implementation by the Muntinlupa-Las Piñas District Engineering Office. However, the DPWH decided to transfer the authority of execution to the Regional Office National Capital Region .Public Works and Highways Secretary Manuel Bonoan approved the move through a memorandum dated July 15, 2025, and signed by Public Works and Highways Assistant Secretary for Regional Operations Loreta Malaluan.
