Dozens of stolen vehicles are back in Canada, following an investigation by York police and officials in Malta.
Project Majestic began in early 2021, and involved police in York Region, Toronto and Peel Region, along with the Canadian Border Service Agency, the Malta Port Authority and Customs and Equité Association. They allege the suspects were able to break into the vehicles and reprogram their ignition computers, turning them on without needing a key or fob.
