DOTr, LTFRB push PUV modernization amid the pandemic
Some regional offices of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board continue to push through with the launching of modernized public utility vehicles to show support to the government’s modernization program amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, LTFRB stays true to the agency’s objective of PUV modernization to provide safe, secure, and comfortable public transportation, while also adhering to strict public health protocols,”the LTFRB said. Cabase said the regional office has awarded VISCOM a provisional authority for Class 3 modern jeepneys to ply the Solano-Aritao route in Nueva Vizcaya to ferry more passengers in the province.
While in Metro Manila, 19 modernized UV Express units were launched at the LTFRB Central Office to ply the SM Fairview-Buendia Avenue route through a provisional authority given to 997 Sandigan Transport Cooperative .
