The Department of Tourism (DOT) has partnered with premier healthcare institution The Medical City (TMC), with the end goal of positioning the Philippines as a top destination for health and wellness.

“The launching of the ‘Discover Your Wellness’ initiative which is a collaborative effort is a demonstration of our shared vision to position the Philippines as a premier destination for medical tourism,” said Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco. “What our medical tourism guests can be assured of in our country is that level of care, dedication, warmth, and love that can only be offered by a Filipino,” Frasco said.
“This accreditation is important for medical travel because it is addresses the quality of care and safety issues. We are encouraging more hospitals to get accredited so that medical travel opportunities can be spread across the country,” he said.
