THE Department of Science and Technology – Central Office (DoST-CO) welcomed the final month of the year in high note with sustained public service before the year ends.

THE Department of Science and Technology – Central Office welcomed the final month of the year in high note with sustained public service before the year ends.On Dec. 2, 2024, DoST-CO organized a relief repacking operations initiative to aid the victims of the typhoon-stricken provinces of Catanduanes and Isabela as part of its Ecumenical Thanksgiving Activity in Bicutan, Taguig City.

The Department of Science and Technology Central Office employees, together with DoST Assistant Secretary for Administrative and Legal Affairs Diana Ignacio, help repack 500 food items for typhoon-stricken Catanduanes and Isabela. Following a thanksgiving mass, the DoST-CO officials and employees repacked food items that will benefit 500 families in the said provinces.Each relief pack contains the 3 kilograms of rice, two cans of sardines, four cans of corned beef, four cans of tuna, five sachets of coffee and five sachets of cereal drinksIn an interview, DoST Secretary Renato Solidum Jr. highlighted the concept of kapwa in Filipino culture.
