Tubers are being urged to stay off the fast-moving Cowichan River, as soaring temperatures and snow melt combine to make dangerous conditions.

Only a few people were wading into the water on Wednesday, but the community expects a flood of visitors in the days ahead. Yet according to officials, the water is deceiving.
