DOLE has opened a program for the hiring of more encoders to address the COVID-19 vaccination data backlog, Interior Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya said. | DFernandezINQ

According to Malaya, the government faces the problem of encoder shortage as daily vaccinations are being ramped up.

“Ang problema po kasi natin sa encoding ng vaccination data is the problem of the sufficient number of encoders,” he said. “Kasi nga po, habang tumataas po ‘yung ating vaccination, we need more encoders to be encoding the vaccination line list na pinapadala po sa DICT at sa DOH ,” said Malaya. Earlier, the Department of the Interior and Local Government said that they may issue show-cause orders toThis came after 10 million vaccination data were not uploaded in the Vaccine Operating Reporting System.
