The Department of Health reminded operators of public utility vehicles not to exceed the 100 percent capacity as this may cause the COVID-19 cases to spike again.

DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that the overloading of passengers in PUVs is a cause for concern. “Ang isa sa nakita nating nakakabahala would be our transport sector. Mukhang bumalik po tayo dun sa pre-pandemic kung saan beyond 100 percent capacity po ang nakikita natin sa mga sasakyan na pampubliko ,” she said in an interview with ABS-CBN’s Teleradyo on Thursday, March 3.
