Sa inaprubahang budget para sa deployment program ng DOH, 26,035 na kontraktuwal na posisyon ang binuksan ng ahensiya para sa health workers.

"Ito 'yong mga profession na kailangan natin sa rural health units usually. Sa highly-urbanized cities and independent component cities, nakikita sila sa mga health center natin" ani Kenneth Ronquillo, direktor ng Health Human Resource Development Bureau ng DOH.
