The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday, July 2, reported 1,302 new cases of Covid-19.
Based on the DOH Covid-19 tracker, the number of active cases nationwide was at 9,105.
The top regions with the most number of cases in the past two weeks were the National Capital Region with 5,243, followed by Calabarzon with 1,967, Western Visayas with 912, Central Luzon with 717, and Central Visayas with 525. The healthcare utilization rate is still at low risk as only 18.3 percent of hospital beds dedicated for Covid-19 patients are occupied.
Since the pandemic started in 2020, the Philippines already recorded 3,706,951 Covid-19 cases. Of this figure, 3,637,268 individuals have recovered, while 60,578 died.
