The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday logged 257 new COVID-19 infections, lowest since June 15 with 256 cases recorded.
This was the second day of fewer than 300 COVID-19 cases reported, while the active tally also decreased from 14,695 on Tuesday.Among the regions with the most cases in the past two weeks were from the National Capital Region with 4,272, followed by Calabarzon with 1,907, Central Luzon with 909, Western Visayas with 498, and Cagayan Valley with 371.The death toll, on the other hand, also climbed to 65,309 with 26 new fatalities.
At least 9,401 individuals were tested, while 335 testing laboratories submitted data as of Tuesday, December 27. The bed occupancy in the country stood at 18.2% with at least 4,974 beds occupied and 22,423 were vacant as of Monday, December 26.
