The Department of Health logged 2,109 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the Philippines' total cases to 4,115,202.

The Department of Health logged 2,109 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the Philippines' total cases to date to 4,115,202.

According to the DOH's COVID-19 tracker, active cases rose by 364 to 15,891, the third straight day that more than 15,000 active cases are being monitored.The region with the most new cases in the last 14 days is Metro Manila with 9,207, followed by Calabarzon with 4,911; Central Luzon with 1,580; Western Visayas with 1,121; and the Bicol Region with 762.

Among cities and provinces, Quezon City had the most new COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days with 2,154, followed by Rizal province with 1,572; Cavite province with 1,559; City of Manila with 1,040; and Laguna province with 1,020.In a tweet on Sunday, Dr. Guido David of independent monitoring firm OCTA Research
