The total number of deaths currently accounts for 1.55 percent of the 2,790,375 confirmed COVID-19 infections in the country. It also makes up 0.87 percent of the total deaths worldwide.According to Johns Hopkins University COVID-19 tracker, global deaths are near the 5 million mark at 4,999,970.
Meanwhile, the total current active infections in the country are at their lowest since July 14 at 43,185, while recoveries are at 2,703,914.
