The government has administered around 2.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines during its second leg of the “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” from Dec. 15-18. | DFernandezINQ

Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje on Monday said a total of 2,562,454 anti-COVID shots were injected into qualified individuals from December 15-18.

During the first day of the second national vaccination drive held on December 15, some 1,071,541 vaccine doses were administered while only 62,410 people received the shot on December 18. For the severe tropical storm-hit areas that cannot commence vaccination activities yet, the Department of Health said it is leaving the decision to the LGUs on when they plan to resume their inoculation.
