THE Department of Health has called on doctors and medical facilities managers to accurately report Covid -19 cases even though the Philippines is classified as 'low-risk' for infection.The reported prevalence of cases of new Covid -19 variants in Singapore has prompted the Health Department to make an appeal for heightened monitoring of cases.Dominant new variants, including the KP.2 and KP.3, have accounted for two-thirds of new infections in the city-state, according to reports.The KP.
Covid-19 hospital utilization also remained low at 11 percent, or 119 out of the 1,117 dedicated Covid-19 beds being utilized, while 13 percent, or 1,238 out of 9,571 non-Covid beds, were occupied.'Severe and critical Covid-19 cases admitted in various hospitals total to only 116, based on hospital reports in the DoH Data Collect application,' Domingo said.
