" Zhou maintained that Ayungin Shoal, which he referred to as Ren’ai Jiao, "is part of China’s Nansha Qundao and China’s territory." An international advocacy group that has been monitoring the South China Sea situation said that this is the first time they have seen such a collision in the West Philippine Sea.
