THE Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has introduced new guidelines for approving job orders for residential support workers and cleaners headed for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to improve the protection and welfare of overseas Filipino workers.

DMW Undersecretary for Foreign Employment and Welfare Services Felicitas Bay said that the guidelines are the result of collaboration between the DMW and the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
The salary will automatically adjust if new minimum wage policies are implemented by either the DMW or the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.Regular annual reviews of compensation will also take place.Workers will be entitled to overtime pay for any hours worked beyond the standard eight-hour workday, in line with Saudi labor laws.
