A driver has been slammed on social media and labelled “entitled” after they illegally parked their car in between two disabled car parks in Westfield Eastgardens. 7NEWS

A photo was taken of the car wedged between the two disabled car spots at Westfield Eastgardens and was posted in a local Facebook community group.

“So I entirely understand that parking is scarce at Westfield Eastgardens, especially today, but let’s not be d**** about it,” the caption read.Fellow outraged locals chimed in, calling the driver of the Toyota “ignorant” and the act “disgusting”. “Imagine being that entitled. So what if someone needs a wheelchair to get into their car, could not care, I need to park. Seriously everything that is wrong in this world right there,” one user commented.“Ok is this a joke? I can’t believe someone can be so stupid,” another wrote.Another said: ”Wow. That’s actually ridiculous! Do they not realise the reason for the extra wide car spaces.”

Some however pointed out that there may be an explanation as to why the driver thought they were allowed to park in the spot.“Behind the two disabled spots there are three spots and the disabled spots appear to be three normal spots previously. Is it possible the driver didn’t realise it had change and drove right into the spot from the spot behind?”“ get that but those big blue signs would stand out when you walk away from the car. Also, the line down the middle says a lot,” someone wrote.

, local councils do not distribute infringements for parking offences in privately operated car parks or shopping centres. The issue instead must be reported to the manager of the car park or centre.Scentre Group, the owner of Westfield Eastgardens, was contacted for comment.
