To continuously assist the local government units (LGUs) in identifying innovative solutions and ensure that everyone has access to safe
and clean water, proper sanitation, and good hygiene practices, DILG Zambales, in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Zambales, held a two-day Writeshop on the finalization of Municipal Water Supply and Sanitation Master Plans of the 11 MLGUs in Zambales on September 18-19, 2023 at Balin Sambali, Iba.
The Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators, Municipal Engineers, Municipal Health Officers, Staff, and Municipal Local Government Operations Officers attended the two-day activity.LGOO V Rose Ann D. Agostosa, Capacity Development Section Chief, gave a discussion that focused on the stages of preparation of the plan as well as its linkages to various local development plans. Engr. Jelly Mae T. Ebalobo, Engr. Princess Ivy Coloma and LGOO II Alled Aron C.
The activity served as an avenue to guide the LGUs in finalizing their MWSSMPs and set forth their commitments on the packaging and submission of their final plans. Municipal Water Supply and Sanitation Master Plan — a plan that sets the direction towards achieving the water supply and sanitation -related targets stipulated in the Local Development Plan, Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022, NEDA’s Ambisyon Natin 2040, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 6, which aims a safe and affordable drinking water for all by 2030.
