DILG spearheads local governance conference

Defining the News

Some 3,000 local executives have attended the Local Governance Summit 2024 at the Philippine International Convention Center, which aims to strengthen relations and cooperation among local and national government officials.

With the theme “LGUs in the New Philippines: Smart. Resilient. Driven.”, the activity with the help of national government agencies, will feature sessions on digital transformation; smart urban infrastructure; and design; climate and disaster resilience. Social protection will also be discussed; peace and order; transparency and accountability; and people’s participation.
