“The Fact-Finding Board has taken testimonies of several personalities and based on this and other pieces of evidence, including tapes, under the possession of the Board, it shows that there is indeed a massive attempt to cover up the arrest of Sgt. Mayo,” said Abalos in a press conference.
The DILG then presented CCTV footage during Mayo’s arrest, where it was shown that several arresting officers were present during the arrest of Mayo. After the transfers were complete, PNP higher-ups such as PDEG Special Operations Unit NCR officer in charge Lt. Col. Arnulfo Ibañez, PDEG SOU NCR deputy chief Col. Julian Michael Angelo Salmingo and PDEG-SOU 4A chief Col. Julian Olonan arrived at the scene, where they were recorded entering the nearby establishment.
