UNDERSTANDING the immediate need to empower young Filipinos during their early education years, volunteering employees and management of Digido Finance Corp. provided school supplies to Cuyambay Elementary School in Tanay, Rizal as a result of an in-house donation drive.
The school's 269 students received tote bags, containing tumblers, intermediate paper, crayons, ballpens, notebooks and personalized messages during the company's 'Pack a Bag: Ready, Set, Learn!' turnover program last Oct. 11, 2024. Light entertainment and meals were also provided during the one-day event.The school's hardworking teachers were given basic supplies such as high-quality bond paper, manila paper, pens and scissors.
While surrounded by stunning mountains and lakes, Cuyambay Elementary School's upland location made it hard to access urban centers, where school supplies were readily available.'Opportunities to contribute a more equitable education for underserved learners completely align with our company ethos,' said Diane Tinoko, head of human resources and administration at Digido Finance Corp.Dragonpay, a trusted partner of the company, made a monetary donation to support the initiative.
