Defending Asian Games champion Margielyn Didal has crashed out of the finals of the women's street skateboarding in the 2022 Games in Hangzhou, China.
She was only able to manage 23.39 points in her first run and was not able to complete her routine due to an ankle, finishing in last place.The 24-year-old Cebu native took to Facebook after her run, apologizing for not medaling this time around.
'Sorry Cebu, we didn't have a skatepark yesterday because we didn't have a medal,' Didal wrote in Cebuano. 'There's a lot of yelling from others; I'm not sure if you let them play with us.'Meanwhile, two teenagers from host country China bagged the gold and silver medal, with 13-year-old Cui Chenxi winning the gold with the total score of 242.62 points and Zeng Wenhui getting the silver after totaling 236.61 points.
