The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has added a new feature to the eGov Super App that allows users to report online shopping scams during the holiday season. The e-commerce reporting feature will be used by the Department of Trade and Industry’s Consumer Protection Office to receive real-time reports and respond promptly to scams.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology ( DICT ) on Friday said online shopping scams now can be reported through the eReport feature of the eGov Super App amid the holiday season . In a statement, DICT Undersecretary David Almirol said, “The newest feature is e-commerce reporting for the Department of Trade and Industry’s consumer protection. Users can easily report different concerns with just a simple click,” Almirol said. Users can report crimes, fire incidents, complaints about red tape, abuse against women and children, among others through the eReport feature of the eGov Super App. Meanwhile, Almirol said the eTravel feature serves as a unified digital platform for passengers entering and leaving the Philippines. This feature streamlines border control, enhances health surveillance, and provides valuable insights for economic data analysis.“It embodies the government’s commitment to efficiency and security in travel processes,” Almirol said.
