The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) has activated its shelter clusters allowing those affected by Tropical Storm 'Kristine' to receive assistance for partially and completely damaged homes.This was prompted by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council’s Resolution No. 276 s.

Apart from monitoring actions on the ground, DHSUD as the head of the shelter cluster, can extend cash assistance from its Integrated Disaser Shelter Assistance Program to victims of the typhoon. The shelter clusters were also activated in Bicol Region , Western Visayas , Central Visayas , Eastern Visayas , the National Capital Region , and Cordillera Administrative Region.
The order, which took effect on Tuesday, required all Regional Directors to convene a meeting with the respective shelter cluster members within the region and develop a plan of action using all available resources and interventions.
