The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Thursday said it has yet to receive reports of possible Filipino casualties following the deadly train collision in Greece earlier this week.
“Athens is continuing to verify if there are any Philippine nationals among the fatalities or the injured when two trains collided head-on in Greece,” DFA spokesperson Teresita Daza said in a message to reporters.At least 46 people were killed after a train carrying more than 350 passengers collided with a freight train in Tempi in central Greece, CNN reported, citing Greek authorities.
Dozens of people also remain in the hospital, with a number still in critical condition, according to local officials.
