MANILA --The number of Filipinos abroad infected with the novel coronavirus is now at 1,343 with 6 new cases, the Department of Foreign Affairs said Sunday.
According to the DFA, the disease has also killed another Filipino overseas, raising the total to 185 deaths. DFA records 6 new confirmed COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad today, 3 new recoveries, and 1 new death pic.twitter.com/Nay1TrbymE"The DFA will continue to monitor the status of our people abroad and will keep on rallying the observance of preventive measures against COVID-19 pandemic," the agency said in a statement.
As of Sunday, 827 of the identified cases are undergoing treatment for the disease, broken down as follows by regions: 127 in the Asia Pacific region, 308 in Europe, 245 in the Middle East and Africa, and 147 in the Americas. In the Philippines, the coronavirus disease has so far infected 7,579 people, with 501 deaths and 862 recoveries.
