Dewan Rakyat elects Mas Ermieyati as PAC chief FMTNews
KUALA LUMPUR: The Dewan Rakyat has unanimously passed a voice vote to elect Mas Ermieyati Samsudin as Public Accounts Committee chairman.The PAC was previously led by Wong Kah Woh, who was the Ipoh Timur MP, and his deputy was former Beaufort MP Azizah Dun. He is now the MP for Taiping.Apart from the chairman and deputy chairman, the committee will include six to 12 members who will be nominated by a selection committee to be established.
The PAC looks at the accounts of the federation and the appropriation of the sums granted by Parliament to meet public expenditure.Subscribe to our newsletter and get news delivered to your mailbox.
