The Department of Education (DepEd) is planning to localize its Adopt-a-School Program to better cater to regional needs and enhance education infrastructure, digitalization, and accessibility under the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. At a recent private sector convergence, DepEd pledged to streamline donation processes with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), expand partnerships, and conduct bilateral meetings with organizations.'Thank you, partners.

You have been very helpful in the six months we have been in DepEd. Let's keep working together to make things faster,' said Secretary Sonny Angara. The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) classroom construction project will commence with the construction of 15,000 classrooms in its first phase, with completion projected by June 2027. These 21st-century classrooms will be designed to withstand disasters and provide optimal learning environments. For digitalization, the Philippine Sustainable Infrastructure Program (PSIP) Connect program will begin the procurement of hardware in May 2025, with delivery scheduled for 2026. Private sector partners have committed to securing internationally compliant digital tools for both teachers and students.Partners also emphasized the importance of addressing malnutrition, recognizing its significant impact on learning. The meeting gathered representatives from various organizations, including the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Philippine Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (PACU), Stratbase, Real Page, LCF, Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), Management Association of the Philippines (MAP), Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBPAP), Ayala Foundation, Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPhl), Aboitiz Foundation (AF), and Philippine Business for Education (PBEd). DepEd is actively strengthening collaborations to improve education nationwide
