The Department of Education (DepED) in Region V (Bicol) strongly condemned the death of a high school principal in Albay and called on the authorities to “bring justice” to its personnel.

The Department of Education in Region V strongly condemned the death of a high school principal in Albay and called on the authorities to “bring justice” to its personnel.In a statement, DepED Bicol said it was informed of a shooting incident that happened last week that resulted in the death of its personnel and coordinated with the authorities.

DepEd Bicol noted that the Schools Division Superintendent of Albay was immediately informed about the incident and was asked to speak with the local authorities and possibly speak with the family of the victim so we could identify what immediate assistance the department can extend. In a separate statement, the Philippine Red Cross also condemned the killing of the said principal who is also a volunteer of the humanitarian organization.
