The DENR Bicol has launched its 2nd Yamang Gubat Trade Fair to encourage sustainable use of forest resources for production and consumption throughout the region.
The event, which has the theme “Forest and Health,” aims to promote and support the sustainable practices and forest-related products of its partner stakeholders.According to the DENR Bicol, the trade fair was in line with the celebration of International Day of the Forest held at Ayala Malls Legazpi where 14 local exhibitors attended.
Among the locally produced goods on display were handcrafted abaca and rattan products, furniture, wooden materials, cutleries, handicrafts, home décor, mats, novelty bamboo items, plants, pili, cacao, food items, citronella essential oils, dishwashing soap, repellent, moisturizer, and soaps.
