Dennis Trillo is grateful that he was given the role of Col. Yuta Saitoh in " Pulang Araw ."In his interview with Aubrey Carampel on "24 Oras," Wednesday, the Kapuso actor said that he had always wanted to play a villain role."Ito talaga 'yung seryoso na villain at talagang 'yung masama na kontrabida na kaiinisan mo. Matagal ko na talagang gustong gumawa ng ganitong klaseng role at maraming salamat at napunta sa 'kin itong role na ito.
"Kailangan kong mag-extra effort para paniwalaan talaga nila na 'Oh, Hapon 'tong character na 'to.' Gusto ko walang makitang bahid nung mga characters na ginawa ko," he said."As much as possible, 'pag nagta-Tagalog 'yung character ko dito, ginagawa kong barok kung paano mag-Tagalog 'yung isang Hapon. Hindi parang si Crisostomo Ibarra na smooth, fluent sa mga makalumang mga salita," he continued.
